Quark was the former teenage partner of Starfighter back in the seventies. Together they fought various intergalactic would-be conquerors and rock trolls. When Starfighter's powers faded, Quark retired from superheroics and instead became an actor.
In 1984, he was a lead actor on the series The Secret, about a group of friends, one of whom was secretly a superhero (specifically a "good guy superhero".)
