Zachary Johnson is known as Jack-in-the-Box, the second after his father Jack Johnson. After finding out about his father, Zach followed in his footsteps and became Jack-in-the-Box to bring in the Underlord and get justice for his father.

History[]

After Zachary Johnson's father died when he was 12, Zach decided to follow in his father's footsteps and study Engineering. He began to design toys of his own from a young age. When he was 18, Zach's mother died and left their estate to Zach. He found his father's gadgets and journals and found the truth. He figured out the Underlord's identity and became the second Jack-in-the-Box to avenge his father and finally defeat the Underlord.

He continued on this journey for many years and on many adventures. He met and married an anchorwoman named Tamra Dixon who he confided in. However, Zach found that his life had become too complicated to juggle. Leading his successful toy company while managing his home life lead to difficulties in his heroic career. After a particularly strange and dangerous encounter with travelers from alternative timelines, Zach decided to give the title of Jack-in-the-Box to his pupil Roscoe James. He left the role in the hands of the young man in order to start a family and built an office in his basement in order to keep up with Roscoe and advise him on his journey.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Acrobatics: Jack-In-The-Box has been seen tumbling through the air from rooftop to rooftop, dodging bullets and thugs and bouncing on their heads.[1]
  • Investigation: Always inquisitive and with a deductive mind, Zachary is always calculating and on the lookout for answers.[1]
  • Engineering: C.E.O. and top engineer at his own toy company, Zachary maintains and utilizing impressive gadgets and weaponry.[1]

Equipment[]

  • Footapults: Jack-In-The-Box usually travels around on his own catapults built within his boots. These extend and launch Jack through the air and give him long or high bounds.

Trivia[]

  • Zachary is playfully known as Jack, Zach and Z.J.
